Completed what was suppose to be a 10-month project in the span of 8 weeks by leveraging Design Strategy and a strong work ethic.
Design is messy and unexpected events are inevitable. Taking the time to thoughtfully plan out a project and iterating on the strategy as you go minimizes the risk of incompletion.
Involving stakeholders and facilitating a design studio effectively saves time while generating many ideas and solutions in a short a very short period.
An unmoderated test can cause participants to drop out since there is a lack of guidance, therefore, testing a specific feature will give the results to optimize the design rather than having a bunch of people drop out trying to go through all the features.
This was individual project
How might we enable young adults in a life transition to set up for success when entering the next phase?
A digital platform that enables young adults to connect with a community, build accountability, and share progress to prepare themselves for the next phase of their life by maintaining a new routine.
A competitive landscape was conducted to gain a holistics view of the current market in the Wellness and Productivity sector. I was able to gauge where my product could stand amongst the competitors and how to differentiate.
The market is saturated with wellness products. Having a strong brand presence and user experience can be a differentiator as many of the competitors are behind in those domains.

I conducted 12 one hour user interviews with participants in the demographic of young adults (ages 18-35) with a range of low to high productive routines.
Interview questions were strategically used to extract user behaviour, functional and emotional jobs and competitor products. The use of qualitative tags helped organize and uncover meaning behind the conversations.

Empathy maps helped me organize the users experiences in chronological order. I combined similar product journeys on top of each other to narrow down into 5 customer segments. I overlapped all the experiences to discover an opportunity.
The job to be done
I planned a 2 hour workshop and invited the same stakeholders from my user interviews. I had a total of 7 participants for the workshop which was done remotely using Miro.
Guidelines were set and participants were asked to sketch 8 ideas within 60 seconds. I kept track of time and reminded participants ahead of time how much time was remainng.

With the power of multiple brains I was able to generate 7 scenarios for solving the job to be done.
Using a matrix quadrant, the most voted idea was the Emotional Bank Account. I created a visual story to illustrate the solution.
I made a task low using insights from the journey map to enahce the experience of the product.
I create wireframes and prototyped the interface using Figma. However, I should of laid out the screens vertically to order them properly when exporting.
Using Maze.design I curated an unmoderated usability test for my low fidelity prototype. During the test, 27 participants were asked to provide different types of feedback for each round. I was aiming to pass the test but results came back with many lessons.
